Shannon from the Marlborough Pilates Studio Plus, is demonstrating the #rollingback or Rolling like a Ball.   As Shannon demonstrates, this movement is all about stabilization and the internal flow of energy.  The key to the success of the movement is keeping the curved shape of the spine from the head to the tailbone.  This exercise introduces the balancing on the sit bones, a position that repeats itself in several increasingly difficult movements.
The movement feels so good on the spine and really gets the abdominals fired up! It’s a tricky one though, as you try to stay in a tight ball shape and use your abs, not your legs to roll yourself back up to the balance.   Thanks for making it look easy Shannon!
